This carefully planned 10-day itinerary offers a balanced blend of spirituality, scenic mountain landscapes, and sacred rituals. Traveling through holy rivers, ancient temples, serene valleys, and majestic peaks, pilgrims experience deep spiritual fulfillment along with the natural beauty of Uttarakhand. Day 1 – Haridwar to Barkot via Mussoorie
Pick up from Haridwar and proceed towards Barkot via Mussoorie. En route, visit Mussoorie Lake and Kempty Falls (recommended lunch stop at Kempty Falls, as limited good restaurants are available further). Continue the scenic drive to Barkot. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Barkot.
Barkot Weather: Pleasant in summer (25–30°C). Winters are cold, with night temperatures dropping to 5–10°C.
Day 2 – Barkot to Yamunotri & Return
Early morning drive to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti, from where the trek to Yamunotri begins (6 km one way). The trek can be done on foot or by pony/doli (at own cost). On arrival, take a holy dip in Jamunabai Kund, perform Darshan of Goddess Yamuna, and offer prayers at Divya Shila. Pilgrims may also prepare rice as Prasad by dipping it in the hot water of Surya Kund. After darshan, trek back to Jankichatti and drive to Barkot. Overnight stay at Barkot.
Yamunotri Weather: Cool climate; summer temperatures range between 10–18°C.
Day 3 – Barkot to Uttarkashi
After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival, check in to the hotel and refresh. Later, visit the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the nearby Shakti Temple, famous for its massive Trishul. Uttarkashi, located on the banks of the River Ganga, is known for its spiritual significance and ancient ashrams. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Uttarkashi Weather: Summer temperatures range from 30–35°C; evenings are pleasant. Winters are cold.
Day 4 – Uttarkashi to Gangotri & Back
Early morning departure (with packed breakfast) to Gangotri. En route, take a holy dip at Garam Kund in Gangnani and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of Harsil Valley, known for deodar forests and mountain views. On arrival at Gangotri, take a sacred dip in the Bhagirathi River and perform darshan at Gangotri Temple. After spending some peaceful time, drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Gangotri Weather: Summer temperatures range from 10–20°C. Light woolens are recommended.
Day 5 – Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi via Moolgarh and Lambgaon. En route, witness the beautiful Mandakini River at Tilwara, flowing from Kedarnath. On arrival, check in to the hotel and visit the Ardhanarishwar Temple. Overnight stay at Guptkashi.
Guptkashi Weather: Pleasant in summer (25–30°C); cold in winters.
Day 6 – Guptkashi to Kedarnath
After breakfast, proceed towards Kedarnath.
- By Trek: Drive to Sonprayag, take a local jeep to Gaurikund (own cost), and begin the 19 km trek to Kedarnath. Pony or palki services are available at own cost.
- By Helicopter (optional): Transfer to helipad for a pre-booked helicopter ride to Kedarnath.
On arrival, check in to accommodation, attend the evening Kedarnath Aarti, and have darshan of Lord Shiva. Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Day 7 – Kedarnath to Guptkashi
Early morning darshan of Lord Kedarnath. After breakfast, begin the return trek to Gaurikund and proceed by road to Guptkashi. Check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Guptkashi.
Day 8 – Guptkashi to Badrinath
After breakfast, drive to Badrinath. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Pilgrims take a holy bath in Tapt Kund before performing darshan of Lord Badri Vishal. Visit Brahma Kapal, an important site for ancestral rituals. Attend evening aarti. Overnight stay at Badrinath.
Badrinath Weather: Cool throughout the year (8–18°C). Woolen clothing is essential.
Day 9 – Badrinath to Rudraprayag
Early morning darshan at Badrinath Temple. Later, visit nearby attractions including Mana Village (last Indian village before Tibet), Vyas Gufa, Mata Murti Temple, Charan Paduka, Bhim Pul, and the origin of the Saraswati River. Proceed to Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag.
Day 10 – Rudraprayag to Haridwar via Rishikesh
After breakfast, drive towards Haridwar. En route, enjoy Rishikesh sightseeing, including Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Ram Jhula, and Triveni Ghat. Proceed to Haridwar for drop with divine memories of the Chardham Yatra.
